A San Francisco native of West Indian and Panamanian heritage, Ms. Wood began singing at home with her mother accompanying her on piano, and as a child sang gospel at the Macedonia Baptist Church. She has performed locally at nightclubs, hotels, supper clubs, wineries, and private venues. She has also been a fashion model and an actress in local theatre.

Ms. Wood’s debut CD, Moonglow, co-produced by Lenny Carlson and recording engineer Russell Bond, features original arrangements of jazz and pop standards with more than a few twists and surprises. Lenny Carlson arranged all selections and also plays guitar. Ben Graves (reeds), Glenn Richman (bass), Jim Kassis (drums), and the late Larry Blackshere (marimba and piano) round out the outstanding band.
